Getting Your Learner's Permit / Driver License

 

Learner's Permit

  • Enrolled in Driver Education at School

  • Have taken and passed the Rules of the Road Test with at least an 80%, AT SCHOOL.

 

  • Take with you to the Secretary of State's Driver Facility

    • Certified Birth Certificate

    • Social Security Card

    • $20.00

    • Envelope from school containing Permit Application and form letter. 

    • Proof of Residency (Need 2)

      • Class Schedule - Name and Address must be on it.

      • Parents can show their Driver License and state that you live with them.

I advise you get the "Real ID" at the same time you get your Driver's License.  You will need to provide more identification; but there is no extra cost, if you do it at this time.  Here of more information and a second link of a checklist of what to bring.

  • 50 Hour Log Sheet

  • Certified Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card​

  • Proof of Residency (Need 2)​

    • Class Schedule / School Transcript - Name and Address must be on it.

  • Vehicle & Proof of insurance for the vehicle.
